The box states that it is formulated without “synthetic color, fragrances, parabens, phthalates, and sulfates”. It also lists a drug facts active ingredient – Dimethicone 2.08%, as a skin protectant.
Of course, curious, that I am, I did some quick research on Dimethicone and have added it to my Ingredient Research post. There were some health concerns on a couple of sites and I have referenced them in that post.
The ingredient list on this box is pretty long, so I’m not going to list it here.
On to the product. The packaging is pretty nice, simple box with a unique type of jar/bottle. The head is a serum-type pump.
The cream comes out in a white creamy lotion form, it smells citrusy, like oranges and maybe lemon (lemon verbena mayhap or even lightly lemon meringue-ish). Like another neck cream that I reviewed, previously, this one instructs to use and upward sweeping motion when applying and it went on as most lotions do. Though it felt smooth while going on, it left a stickiness to the skin.
I’ve been using this since early February and haven’t seen any results other than a couple of mild breakouts (like one or two pimples) along the main horizontal crease of my neck. Which makes me wonder if it was, indeed, the dimethicone that lead to those breakouts, even though I used it on freshly cleansed skin. The fine vertical lines of my neck haven’t disappeared, nor has there been any tightening of the skin of my neck.
Because I liked the jar/bottle (silly, I know), I had hoped to like this product and see results from it. It did not deliver.
